Bob Page

Bob Page opened a small store in Pasadena, California, in 1971 called The Guitar Shop.  Nearly from the beginning, his brother Tim was involved.  By the time Bob moved the store to Leucadia, it focused on Acoustic Instruments under the name "Traditional Music."  Quickly the reputation grew, and Tim suggested they add Electric Instruments - and so they thought a more meaningful store name might involve the family feeling so much a part of the business.  They changed the name to Buffalo Brothers Guitars because their mom often said raising her boys was like raising a bunch of buffalo.  The store became a destination among guitar and banjo players from all over the state and beyond.  Their passion for the instruments and music- making soon resulted in well- received in-store concerts and clinics, a key element of their early success.
