Niko Bolas
Niko Bolas has been a key producer and studio engineer in the music industry since the late 70s. In 1979, Niko started Record One Studios where he went to record a number of influential groups including Neil Young, Herbie Hancock, KISS, and John Meyer to name a few. In 1998, Niko launched Sonicbox, an Internet radio aimed to integrate seamlessly with portable playback devices. In 2010, Niko returned to Capitol Studios in LA where he set up shop in the Surf Shack mix room. Having touched so many great albums over the past 30+ years, NAMM is honored to have Niko’s story as part of our collection.
