Where Music Begins: The NAMM Show, January 21-24, 2016
Registration and hotel bookings open early for the 2016 NAMM Show
Badge registration and hotel bookings are now open for NAMM members planning to attend the 2016 NAMM Show. This year’s earlier opening offers NAMM members time to prepare for their trip to Anaheim, January 21-24, 2016. Attending the NAMM Show opens doors to 5,000 music product brands, a global buying audience, special events, dozens of educational sessions, and endless live music.
"This year’s annual gathering of music and sound industry professionals is laser focused on helping our members increase their competitive advantage and be more successful in 2016,” said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. "The NAMM Show has become a crossroads of the global music industry. There is no better place than NAMM to see all the exciting new products, meet and hear from industry leaders who are shaping music’s future, attend the best training sessions offered anywhere, and at the same time experience some of the most fun and productive music and networking events of the whole year.”
TEC Tracks, which debuted at Summer NAMM 2015, replaces The H.O.T Zone on the second floor of the convention center. TEC Tracks will feature master classes, live interviews and panel discussions on the most relevant topics for recording, live sound, DJ, lighting, music business and entertainment technology professionals.
NAMM has teamed up with the International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA), a nonprofit association, which represents the interests of the music software industry, to integrate a community of music software providers into the 2016 NAMM Show. Software.NAMM, The Music Software Community, presented by NAMM and IMSTA will stage adjacent to the TEC Tracks education area on the convention center’s second floor. In addition to the new software area, there will be international pavilions featuring exhibitors from Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom with more to come.
On arrival to Anaheim this year, NAMM members will notice some construction. Work has begun on the eagerly anticipated expansion to the Anaheim Convention Center. The new exhibit space will be open to the music industry starting with the January 2018 NAMM Show. NAMM’s trade show teams are working diligently to ensure that the impact of the expansion’s construction on show attendees is minimal.
Members should make sure that their NAMM membership is current to take advantage of the early opening. Badge registration and hotel booking for non-members open on September 30. Book early to lock in housing from the more than 40 hotels in Anaheim that NAMM secures rooms with. Starting January 7, 2016, badge registrations will incur a $50-100 fee, so it pays to register early! Reach the most important music products buyers and decision makers in the world by securing exhibit space at the NAMM Show.
