David Briggs

David Briggs was a struggling musician in Nashville when he received a call to replace Floyd Cramer on a recording session.  That session just happened to be for an album titled “How Great Thou Art” for Elvis Presley.  That session took place in May of 1966, impressing Elvis and his band enough to have David stay on –for nearly a decade, until Elvis’ death in 1977.  Throughout that time David played key piano and keyboard parts in such classics as “Love Letters.” David was also a key player as a studio musician and in fact formed Quadrafonic Studios with his close friend Norbert Putnam in 1968.  Over the years he has also worked with BB King, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and many other legends of pop, rock, soul and country music.
