Gloria Stone
Gloria Stone was the book-keeper and the office manager for the Record Plant. Her husband, Chris, and Gary Kellgren opened the recording studio in 1968 in New York City. The company expanded to a second location and then a third in California (Los Angeles and Sausalito, near San Francisco). All along, Gloria was in the background helping to grow the business while maintaining its reputation for paying bills on time. Gloria also took witness, as her husband Chris did, to the incredible array of musical acts that recorded their albums at the Record Plant. In addition to the incredible list of artists, the Record Plant can boast of a who’s who of recording engineers and producers as well.
