Alan Macpherson

Alan Macpherson began his career working for the retailer, The Music Shoppe II in Toronto Canada.  As a musician, Alan fell in love with the music industry, getting to talk gear with fellow players and working to provide the services they needed to obtain the instruments of their dreams.  When Alan joined Yamaha in 1987, it was the company’s 100th anniversary, which was an exciting time as it provided an opportunity for Alan to witness first hand and to participate in the celebration and the passion of the people behind the Yamaha legacy.  Over the years Alan has held many different positions, each of them adding to his understanding of the inner working and philosophy of the company, and its many programs to support music education and the music industry.
