Jimmy Gravity
Jimmy Gravity was setting up a newly made electric guitar as he talked with several of his customers gathered around his work bench. Holding court comes easy to Jimmy because he views his customers and co-workers as friends coming over to hang out. The topics range from baseball to politics and all the while Jimmy makes adjustments to the instrument as the conversations progress. Jimmy began repairing guitars in upstate New York and moved to St. Louis in 1978 to open his current shop. A few years later he hired Mike Newman, whose bench is just across from Jimmy's bench. Two stronger friends you will not meet. Both plug along repairing and adjusting the guitars while you wait and (if you are smart) listen.
