Barbara Scheuch-Vötterle
Barbara Scheuch-Vötterle is one of five children of Karl Vötterle who founded the Bärenreiter-Verlag in 1923. After the death of her father 1975, Barbara took over the company and with her husband Leonhard Scheuch they expanded on the publishing house’s international reputation and modernized Bärenreiter. The company is world-renowned for its Complete Editions and urtext editions of composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
