Antonio Sanchez
Antonio Sanchez began playing drums at the age of five in his native Mexico and by the time he was a teenager he was playing professionally. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Antonio earned a masters in jazz improvisation from the New England Conservatory of Music. After performing with the Dizzy Gillespie United Nations Orchestra, Antonio performed on Grammy winning albums as part of the Pat Metheny Group. In 2006, he joined the faculty at the New York University and continues to make teaching a priority within his career. As an artist, Antonio continues to write and perform, most notably, composing the 2014 award winning score for the film "Birdman."
