Jerry Vale

This audio only interview was conducted for a radio program by Dan Del Fiorentino and donated to the NAMM Oral History program: Jerry Vale had a series of popular recordings in the era after the big bands and before rock and roll. Known for his crooning style, Jerry hit the charts with songs such as "Volare," "Innamorata," and "I Have But One Heart." He grew up in the Bronx and gained fame for singing Italian ballads, many of which he sang in Italian had great success in America. His later recordings included "Two Purple Shadows On The Snow" and "You Can Never Give Me Back My Heart” with the Percy Faith Orchestra.
