Barry Jones

Barry Jones joined Mississippi Music in April 1977 serving as the delivery man for Peavey’s Melody Music in Meridian. The store was later moved to the local mall and rebranded with Mississippi Music in 1986. Barry works right beside his wife, Liz, who runs the books, and together they moved the store out of the mall in 1989 to their current location where Barry serves as store manager. Barry was trained by a Peavey engineer as a guitar repair technician and for a while was the buyer for all locations of Mississippi Music. He has always felt the key to staying in business is keeping up with change.
