NAMM Standards Committee Releases Two New Specifications for The Music Products Industry
At The 2020 NAMM Show, the NAMM Standards Committee concluded another round of face-to-face meetings with the release of two new technology standards for the music products industry.
The exchange of product information, throughout the sales cycle and beyond, represents a large burden in time and resources. In order to solve this problem experts from across all channels of the music products industry have partnered together, designing technology standards to save time and improve accuracy.
NAMM Product & Price Essentials is a standardized Excel template for suppliers, distributors, thirdparty software vendors, and retailers to disseminate and consume product price lists, sometimes called "Build Sheets". For more information go to https://github.com/namm-standards/npe
NAMM JSON 2020.1 (Beta) is a JSON-Schema version of XML-based standards meant to streamline and improve electronic transactions between trading partners in the music products industry. For more information go to https://github.com/namm-standards/namm-json
