Dr. Susanne Schnitzer

Dr. Susanne Schnitzer shares her memories growing up in the Kirschnek family. Grandfather Franz Krischnek, founder of Kirschnek String Instruments, was a businessman with worldwide connections (many of them to the United States) while his daughter Ilse Fischer managed the rest. She took the children on daily errands through Bubenreuth center of the Schönbach luthiers after 1945. Susanne remembers going to the Framus Music Kindergarten and picking tone woods with her mom. She studied to become a doctor of medicine, has her own medical practice, and at the same time is the right hand of her mother who still runs the business with tireless energy.
