Jonathan Tunick

Jonathan Tunick’s impressive career began with taking piano lessons as a kid and later learning the clarinet and saxophone. Attending LaGuardia Performing Arts High School and working with his teacher and theater director Joseph Adler helped propel his talents into a career. While working on Broadway he was introduced to Stephen Sondheim and began working with him on the production of Company which lead to many collaborations over the years. Jonathan has fond memories of working with Mel Brooks on several of his movies including Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles. With his extraordinary career it should come as no surprise that Mr. Tunick is a member of the exclusive EGOTs, winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award!
