Believe in Music Preview: John Huntington on 50 Years of Show Technology Evolution

In this special session curated by ESTA for 2022 Believe in Music, John Huntington, City Tech professor and published author, will share his research about the history of show technology.

Since the 1980s, John has been studying and writing about show technology. He has written two books, Show Networks and Control Systems and Introduction to Show Networking, on how the trends of show technology and some of the ways to standardize technology and how it is used to maximize safety, performance, and costs. During his session at Believe in Music, John will present his research via a detailed show technology history timeline documenting the trends, looking at where we are now and speculating about the future of show technology.
