Richard Davenport

Richard Davenport was the winner of the 2022 Golden Hammer Award, the highest honor bestowed on members of the Piano Technician's Guild. The award comes after a long and influential career that has included his own amazing career as a technician and his inspiring seminars and clinics that have aided the education of the next generation. Working in the Hollywood movie and recording studios, Richard gained a reputation for quality craftsmanship and the willingness to help out even at the last minute. As a result, he has worked on several high-profile projects for leading artists such as composer John Williams and musician Carol Rosenberger. Richard has also played a role in helping to improve the production of piano manufacturing with companies such as Yamaha, Bosendorfer and Fazioli as well as serving as a beta tester for the software CyberTuner.
