The She Rocks Awards takes place on Thursday, January 25, 2024, with doors opening at 6:30 pm at The NAMM Show held in the Anaheim Convention Center. Here are just a few of this year’s honorees:
Lindsey Stirling
Lindsey Stirling melded her talents as a violinist, dancer and performer to create a sensational artform of her own. Today she is among the most innovative violinists to grace the stage, bringing magical performances to audiences around the globe.
Her successes include four Billboard chart-topping albums, and two Billboard Music Awards including Top Dance/Electronic Album for her third studio release, “Brave Enough.”
Her holiday album, “Warmer In The Winter,” reached the #1 spot on Billboard, Amazon and iTunes Holiday Album charts upon its release, and her lead single “Carol of the Bells” became the only instrumental song ever to reach the Top 10 at AC Radio.
With millions of subscribers and billions of views across her social media channels, Stirling has captured many hearts with her artistry.
Jimena Fosado
Jimena Fosado is a female guitarist pushing the boundaries of guitar playing and the way female guitarists are viewed. Born in Mexico City and now based in Los Angeles, Fosado mixes different elements in her music, performing rock and metal combined with fusion and electronic music.
She was drawn to the guitar at age six. Her passion for playing led her to start uploading YouTube videos of her punk rock covers. The online community noticed her, and she began to go viral and was mentioned by some of the artists she covered, including Simple Plan and Orianthi.
Fosado has played on stage with various artists, including Scott Paige (Pink Floyd), Gilby Clark (Guns N' Roses), Dave Evans (AC/DC) and Mike Beal (Earth, Wind & Fire), among many others.
Fosado’s goal with music making is clear: “Every time I listen to music my world changes therefore, I want to change the world.”
Debbie Gibson
At 16, Debbie Gibson became the youngest artist to write, produce and perform a number one hit when “Foolish Beat” became a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper. Since then, she's sold over 16 million albums.
In 2020, she released her single “Girls Night Out,” which reached No. 4 on both the U.S. Billboard and U.K. MusicWeek charts.
She embarked on a U.S. solo tour in 2022 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of her debut album “Out of the Blue,” and released her first full-length holiday album, “Winterlicious.” She recently announced a book deal with Gallery for a memoir and in 2024, Gibson will celebrate 35 years of her #1 album “Electric Youth.”
Other projects over the course of her career include judging Nickelodeon’s “America’s Most Musical Family,” guest-starring on the popular TV show “Lucifer,” and performing in 17 musicals, including Broadway’s Les Misérables and West End’s Grease.
