Neutrik Donates to NAMM Advocacy and Outreach Efforts
To demonstrate its support for music advocacy and education, Neutrik USA today donated $2,000 to NAMM, the International Music Products Association, to create more music makers through the association’s ongoing advocacy programs. NAMM will match Neutrik’s donation with an additional $1,000 to support community outreach programs such as SupportMusic.com.
The NAMM Member company raised the funds during the recent NAMM Show in Anaheim earlier this year, where wristbands bearing the company’s official logo and new ad slogan, “Are You Good Enough?” were sold to show attendees for $1 each.
To further promote music education at the NAMM Show, Neutrik USA also teamed up with the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus to sponsor a performance by singer/songwriter Kenny Rankin.
“For 25 years, Neutrik has connected artists to their music, and now we are pleased to help NAMM connect with more music makers to benefit the entire industry,” said Jim Cowan, president, Neutrik USA.
NAMM’s music advocacy efforts include Sesame Street Music Works, an early-childhood development initiative; SupportMusic.com, the largest online campaign ever offered to help parents and teachers support music education; the “Einstein” advocacy kit, a how-to guide for keeping music in schools; as well as the association’s grant programs, music-brain research and public relations campaigns about the proven benefits of making music.
