The next-generation social music creation platform, BandLab, is offering aspiring musicians the opportunity to be featured in an issue of Billboard magazine through its newest campaign, “Bringing BandLab to Billboard.”

Established in 2015, BandLab is a social music platform that enables creators to make music and share the creative process with musicians and fans. The NAMM Member brings together its global community of 50 million creators and fans by combining music-making and collaboration tools with features like video sharing, messaging, and discovery. The company’s mission is to “break down the technical, geographic, and creative barriers between creators, collaborators, and community by providing a completely free and unlimited service.”

In August, BandLab introduced BandLab Opportunities via ReverbNation, a service designed to aid up-and-coming artists as they look to launch their careers. ReverbNation offers musicians exclusive opportunities through its network of industry relationships to facilitate sync offers, label deals, and festival slots. It also provides powerful tools to grow fan bases and book more gigs. In addition, the service employs an innovative artist relations team that “listens and curates thousands of songs every week, connecting the right artists to the right opportunities.”

Earlier this month, the partnership between BandLab and ReverbNation grew to add Billboard. As part of the campaign, the magazine will select one talented artist to be interviewed a music journalist and promote the chosen artist on the publication's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

BandLab CEO and Co-Founder Meng Ru Kuok spoke on the project, saying, “We are thrilled about this collaboration with Billboard and their excitement about amplifying emerging and underrepresented artists with their brand. Artists receive something truly powerful through these connections, the chance to be seen in a prominent music publication. They can look back on this feature for decades to come.”

Interested artists and creators are encouraged to visit BandLab, as the campaign is open for entries until September 25, 2022.

Selected musician(s) will appear in Billboard on October 15, 2022.
