JackTrip Labs Demonstrates The Power of its Virtual Studios Through Collaboration

Elizabeth Dale

In July, NAMM Member JackTrip Labs partnered with EnterTalk radio to host a one-of-a-kind musical event utilizing its Virtual Studio software.

The performance featured appearances by music legends Bunny Brunel (Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder), Larry Dunn (Earth, Wind, & Fire), Roger Friend (ABBA, BB King, and Tom Jones), and Charles Julian Fearing (Herb Alpert, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie). JackTrip Labs utilizes its virtual studios to eliminate latency, allowing musicians worldwide to collaborate virtually, in real-time, to make music. The collective of musicians performed remotely in late July, and the performance streamed on JackTrip Radio at https://jacktrip.radio/r/entertalk-20220727?start=2:55.

In addition to its summertime jam session, JackTrip has brought Sweetwater on board as they host Jammin’ with JackTrip. The contest is a weekly virtual music competition where winners are awarded gift cards to the retailer and free minutes within JackTrip virtual studios. Jammin' with JackTrip occurs between October 17 and December 25, 2022, and requires participants to begin a public broadcast at a designated time and to share the performance with friends and fans. At the end of each week, the performer with the most likes from the audience will take home the title for that week.
