Major Moment

Hometown:
Boston, MA

When you come across a band as multicultural, passionate, and talented as Boston’s Major Moment, you have to pay attention. Combining captivating original sounds of alternative rock with their international roots, Major Moment knows how to create new worlds within their music. Inspired by acts like Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, 30 Seconds To Mars and more, the band is now on a mission to inspire others, encourage them to follow their dreams, and learn to appreciate life. On September 7th, Major Moment brings you "one small stEP", a record of various strong topics, including relationship, perspective, and loss. With acclaimed producer Kevin Billingslea and six-time Grammy Winner Adam Ayan on board, the band considers the record to be their greatest accomplishment yet. What makes the record even more special, is its dedication to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, one of the band’s biggest inspirations. "one small stEP" features a #MakeChesterProud tagline, and it shows that Major Moment is the genuine and caring group of people that they hope to be remembered as. Feel free to check out an EPK here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6u6cw3bkrwg5du2/Major%20Moment%20EPK%201PG%20v... Just over a month since their debut single release, the band has already received tons of feedback from music lovers all over the world, positive reviews, radio airplay and social media exposure: August 10, 2018: Nancy Chalkopoulou from The Ratings Game says: "In “Before It’s Too Late,” the high powered musicality is combined with some momentous lyrics, and the outcome is completely far-reaching, influencing food for thought and opening “eyes” and minds to another aspect of the reality we sometimes live in...", while Dave Franklin of Dancing About Architecture adds: "Before It’s Too Late" mixes musical elegance with lyrical eloquence, it creates its widescreen sound by layering up musical textures, by building beautiful sonic architecture..." August 6, 2018: Vents Magazine is the first to review "one small stEP" giving the record 4.5 out of 5 stars: "With their new material, "one small stEP", they are definitely a few steps ahead from what you generally expect from a new band. Right off the bat, it’s clear we are about to listen a top notch, professionally made material. The work behind the production, comprised of some A-listers, can be felt right away. More often than not, you will hear these new and emerging bands working with major producers, yet their albums feel a bit, say, cheap (?). However, as every song plays on, the record keeps getting better and much better." July 19, 2018: Paying tribute to Chester Bennington, alternative rockers Major Moment released a cover of Linkin Park's "Leave Out All the Rest" on Nü Sound. "Many Linkin Park covers followed [Chester Bennington's] death, paying tribute to the countless years of inspiration they provided for bands across all genres" says Nü Sound, "but none bring chills such as Major Moment's “Leave Out All The Rest”. After facing the tragedy of their hero's death, Major Moment channeled their grief by paying homage to one of their favorite bands while inspiring others to appreciate life. The haunting but hopeful tribute builds from the acoustic foundation before intensifying into a bridge highlighting the band's versatility and dynamic abilities. The tribute feeds on the band's passion for expression and hope, and it is obvious they poured their hearts out into the song.
