Russ Parrish is an award winning singer/songwriter Nashville native who moved to Minnesota. Influenced by artists and bands like Jon Foreman of Switchfoot, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Phil Wickham his desire is to write and play songs of hope shining a light in a dark and broken world. Russ' awards include the 1st Place winner of the 2017 Minnesota Sate Fair Amateur Talent Contest, Honorable Mention in American Songwriter Magazine's lyric contest which can be found in the 2018 July/August issue, and the Grand Prize winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Session - I in the Gospel Category. Russ’ music focuses on the journey between faith and doubt, seeking the light of hope wherever darkness is found. He believes in writing and playing songs for the whole world to sing along.
