The Scotty Mac Band
Singer and songwriter Scott McLaughlin was raised in a small, Southern California town surrounded by dairy farms, ranches and rodeos. He spent his days listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band on the radio. His passion for country took off like a rocket after receiving his first guitar as a gift from his father at age 13. Heavily influenced by Garth Brooks’ album “In Pieces” and Fleetwood Mac’s “The Dance”, Scott began writing and perform his own music in high school. After graduating, he moved south to attend California State University Long Beach as a business major. While he worked on his degree, Scott continued to hone his music and vocal talent forming several bands and actively performing throughout Southern California. Fronting his self-titled band, The Scotty Mac Band, Scott released his latest EP, Starts With a Girl, in June 2018 which stylistically blends the pop hooks and driving sound of contemporary country while retaining the story telling and instrumentation of the classic country roots he grew up on. His music is heavily influenced by artists like Luke Bryan, Tim Mcgraw, Ronnie Dunn, Jason Aldean, and Blake Shelton.
