Sean Oliu is a young singer, songwriter, musician and actor from Anaheim, California. He is one of the youngest Mouseketeers on the digital-first variety program Club Mickey Mouse. In 2013 at age 11, he competed on the NBC/Telemundo program “La Voz Kids”, the Spanish language version of The Voice. He advanced out of a pool of over 6500 invited contestants to be one of six finalists. As a young boy, Sean was introduced to classic country music artists such as: Johnny Cash, Tennessee Ernie Ford and Hank Williams by his grandfather. He fell in love with the genre and has blended it with blues, Americana and early rock n’ roll forming his unique musical style. Sean was chosen as one of the 2017 Top 100 Influencers of Orange County. The OC Family Magazine named him the 2017 “OC Whiz Kid”. He was also featured as a Person of Interest in the July 2016 Orange County’s Very Best issue of Orange Coast Magazine. Sean opened for Rachel Patten at the “VH1 Save The Music Holiday Concert”. He was selected to record and enact Remember Me and Un Poco Loco along side of Anthony Gonzalez (from the movie “Coco”) – live for a Disney Park surprise. He also performed at “VH1 Save the Music” at LA Fashion Week, and Ron Howard’s “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week” documentary release party at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on September 17, 2016. Sean is enjoying playing all around the southland with his three piece band – The Sean Oliu Band. And, most recently, he was honored in being selected to open for Leanne Rimes “You and Me Christmas Tour”. Music has opened many doors for Sean. In fact, he feels so strongly about the importance of music that he started an annual fundraiser and non-profit called, “Kids Giving Back” to support music in our schools. To date “Kids Giving Back” has raised over $50,000. He's also partnered with the Namm Foundation and participated in the "Day of Music" events. www.seanoliu.com
