The WimBash All-Stars have entertained audiences during the famed New Orleans Jazz Fest, the NAMM Show, The WimBash Summer Jam sponsored by the US Embassy in Santo Domingo, DR and will be performing in the upcoming Willytown Festival in September. The WimBash All-Star Band, lead by Doug Wimbish, has featured artists including Branson “Taz” Niederauer, Raghav Mehrotra, Eric Mc Fadden, Big Sam, Daru Jones, Khris Royal, members of Living Colour, Liv Warfield & Nigel Hall.
Having performed together at numerous WimBash events, Doug Wimbish, Corey Glover, Marcus Machado, Raghav Mehrotra and Dave Koltai present a powerhouse of talent as The WimBash All-Stars.
As the lead singer of the Grammy Award winning rock band, Living Colour, Corey Glover continues to amaze audiences with his powerful vocals and dynamic front man personality. In addition to Corey’s extensive music career playing with Living Colour, Galactic and a host of acts globally, Corey is well known for his role as Pvt. Francis in Oliver Stone's Vietnam war film, Platoon , and starred in a short-lived television series called Signs of Life . He has also hosted various shows on VH1.
As bassist for the legendary rap label Sugar Hill backing The Sugar Hill Gang and Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five to the pioneering Living Colour, Doug Wimbish has lent his innovative and creative bass grooves and sounds to a roster of world-renowned musicians. Considered a pioneer in hip hop bass playing and in the use of bass effects, alternate tunings and extended hand techniques, Doug’s mastery of the bass is unparalleled. Doug’s highly regarded career as a writer, producer, bassist, and ambience director has spanned all musical genres, recording and touring with artists such as Mick Jagger, The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Madonna, Seal, Mos Def, Tarja Turunen, Joe Satriani, Carly Simon, James Brown, Al Green, George Clinton, Kanye West, Schiller and Annie Lennox among others.
Drumming since age 3, 14 y/o Raghav Mehrotra has been fortunate to have shared the stage with legendary musicians including Steve Smith, Slash, Doug Wimbish, Earl Slick, John Wetton, James Genus, Jimmy Haslip and more. Raghav was cast as the principal character, Freddy, the drummer, in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's
Tony-nominated School of Rock the Musical. Having performed over 500 shows, Raghav captivated thousands at the legendary Winter Garden Theater for over a year.
Marcus Machado, a former child prodigy playing guitar since the age of 2, was named in 2014 by Rolling Stone as the ”Next Young Gun”. As one of the world’s preeminent guitarists on the rise, Marcus played alongside Robert Glasper and Lalah Hathaway for the “Mr. Soul” documentary.
Sound designer and guitarist, David Koltai is best known for his award-winning musical instrument and sound design work for Supro and Pigtronix. Koltai’s musical credits include years of work with Paul Simonon the 2016 Stranger to Stranger album and live concert performances with virtuoso drummers Billy Rymer (Dillinger Escape Plan) and Will Calhoun (Living Colour) as well as electric bass icons Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon) and Doug Wimbish (Living Colour).
