The Dares

The Dares were formed by twin brothers Ben Peterson and Matt Peterson. They began performing in California in 2004. Brandon Shapiro and Anthony Aguirre joined the band in the summer of 2010. Shortly after the band teamed up with Grammy award winning producer, Paul Ebersold and recorded the album "Duped."


They have toured North America with acts such as The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Almost, Cartel and The Summer Set.


In September of 2015 they released the EP "Nothing But a Start." Songs such as "If You Had a Heart" and "Summer Kids" showed an expansion from their pop-punk roots.


In 2018 The Dares released their latest EP "Bad Faith." This EP radically shifts the band further into the indie-rock realm as well as refining their sonic range.

2019 will see the release of multiple singles starting with "Little Do They Know".
