Julia Lucius

Julia Lucius is a singer/songwriter from Temecula, California. Ever since she could talk, she has been singing for anyone who would listen. She began writing songs at the age of six, and along with her mediocre piano skills at the time, entered her music into school contests and performed in talent shows around town. As her love for music grew, she purchased her first guitar, and the rest was history. Inspired by artists such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse and Jim Morrison, Julia has developed a style of music that could be described as “acoustic pop” with jazz influences.

While performing on the side of the road in town is a regular occurrence for Julia, she has also performed in other venues locally. Places such as The Merc, Panini and Hops, and The Bridge church have been venues for Julia to perform her songs for her local fans. She has also played at places out of town, such as The Tin Roof in downtown San Diego.

Along with her solo career, Julia has also done collaborative work with many local artists. In 2013, she auditioned for Fox’s The X Factor: Season 3, with her singing duo, “Good News”. The two girls made it to the top 10 in the groups category and performed on live television. Since then, Julia has started to write and produce her own songs, many of which are available on iTunes and other mainstream music-sharing sites. Her love for music has led her to many opportunities in which she could help others and give to what she is most passionate about. She has performed multiple times in “Rock the Oaks”, a benefit concert raising funds for “Oak Grove: Center for Education Treatment and the Arts”. She played alongside other talented artists such as Trevor Moran and The Brewer Boys. She has also raised funds for “MuttNation Foundation”, an organization that helps end pet suffering and homelessness, through music sales.
