Breakfast of Champions: Marty Albertson

<p>Marty Albertson became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Guitar Center, Inc.,&nbsp;in 2004. &nbsp;He joined Guitar Center as a salesperson in 1979 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility with Guitar Center since.&nbsp; Marty&nbsp;served first as Advertising Director and in 1984 became National Sales Manager.&nbsp; In 1985, Mr. Albertson became Vice President of Corporate Development, and&nbsp;then Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 1987.&nbsp; From 1990 to 1999, he&nbsp;served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was elected as a Director in 1996.&nbsp; Mr. Albertson served as President and Co-Chief Executive Officer from 1999 to 2004.&nbsp;He currently&nbsp;serves on the board of the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and is a former board member of the National Association of Music Merchants.</p>
