Best Curb Appeal: Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center in Wheaton, Maryland

<p>Chuck Levin&rsquo;s Washington Music Center has been a family owned and operated business since Chuck and Marge Levin opened its doors in a one- room shop in Washington, D.C. in 1958. During the riots of 1968, the store was burned down leaving nothing behind except for melted instruments and rubble. But, with the help of their longtime suppliers and faithful customers, they were able to find a new home in Wheaton, Maryland where they&rsquo;ve been located ever since. Chuck Levin&rsquo;s Washington Music Center strives every day to provide the most extensive knowledge combined with the largest inventory to insure that our customers can do anything and &ldquo;Everything in Music.&rdquo;</p> <p><strong>An Eye-Catching Storefront&nbsp;<br /> </strong>Washington Music Center occupies the three largest buildings on their block. On the main storefront, They have a 40-foot long mural that covers the entire length of the main building, in addition to a giantNeon Fender Stratocaster above their front door. The mural was painted by a lifelong customer over 30 years ago, and truly depicts the &ldquo;vibe&rdquo; of the store. It's not uncommon for customers or passers-by to stop and take photos of the storefront. They also have nine prominently displayed signs (all in their signature &ldquo;Chuck Levin&rsquo;s&rdquo; blue) to help draw attention to the store, including a 25-foot tall sign at a main entrance to the regional shopping mall across the street, and a 20-foot tall keyboard being played by the hands of Chuck Levin (note the cufflinks).</p> <p>Check out the video to see more!&nbsp;</p>
