Ruth Kadison

Ruth Kadison enjoyed her role as a NAMM Foundation’s Museum of Making Music volunteer, and applied many of her talents and skills to the organization over the years.  Her love of music goes back to her grandfather who printed sheet music in New York City during the golden era of Tin Pan Alley and the big boom of the music publishing industry during the late 1890s and early 1900s.  Ruth provided details about her grandfather’s business and how that gave her many wonderful musical memories during her upbringing.  After her retirement from the clothing industry, Ruth became a volunteer at the museum and enjoyed her many experiences including meeting Henry Steinway, which was very special to her.
