Craig Schertz

Craig Schertz worked for Byerly Music in Peoria, Illinois and saw an opportunity to purchased two of the company’s ten locations when his boss and the current owner, Loren Zimmerman, was ready to retire.  The stores continued to grow throughout the 1970s and 80s and when Craig decided to sell the stores, seeing less traffic in the mall location, he began a 13 year relationship with Jim Foster at Foster Family Music in Iowa.  In more recent years, Craig helped his brother Randy run His store, Schertz MusiCenteR in Bloomington, Illinois.  Even in retirement, Craig proved that once the industry is in your blood, you can't shake it!
