How to Plan for Believe in Music Week
At NAMM’s first-ever digital event, we hope to make the process as smooth and effortless as possible.
There’s quite a bit to keep track of while building your brand experience page, registering staff and creating content. To help, we’ve created an index of exhibitor resources and articles like this one to aid with prioritization and scheduling.
What to Do in December
December is the month to get ready for the online experience so we have highlighted a few key dates to keep in mind. On December 2nd at 11:30 PT, NAMM and our platform partner Swapcard will host a webinar, titled Using and Optimizing the Exhibitor Center. We encourage you to attend if possible, so you can participate in the live Q&A. For those unable to attend, a recording of the webinar will be posted on namm.org for your convenience.
As soon as possible, the first step of the process is to register your team for the event and begin to build your brand experience page. Under the Marketplace Packages header on our exhibitor resources page, you can find specifications for all of the assets required to create a successful brand presence.
What to Do in Early January
On January 11th at 9 am PT, your brand experience page will be visible to buyers, media and NAMM members, and they will have the ability to contact your brand via chat to discuss meeting options. Consider this an opportunity to book time with buyers, media and NAMM members. General attendees will have access to view your brand experience page on January 11th but will not have the opportunity to book brand meetings.
Everything on your brand experience page can be updated throughout the event. NAMM recommends uploading your logo, image header, social media links and bio at minimum by January 11th. If you are concerned about not being ready to be shown on the Marketplace by this time, please contact your sales representative to discuss options. Likewise, if you have a product launch, but aren’t ready to announce, you will have the ability to upload assets after this date, as well as adjust the order of featured products on your brand experience page.
For brands participating in Gear TV, please note that January 8th is your last chance to submit your content links.
Believe in Music Week Begins
Believe in Music Weeks officially opens begins at 9 am PT on January 18th and meeting times begin. You will continue to meet with buyers, media and NAMM members as scheduled through January 22nd at 5 pm PT.
Believe in Music TV, which hosts the Believe, Gear and Artist channels, will run from January 21–22, ending at 5 pm PT on the 22nd. Gear TV will host a special Global Livestream, featuring musicians from around the world, on January 20th in anticipation of the full event.
Your content will live on, available on demand. On February 28th, the platform will be no longer accessible.
