The 2019 NAMM Show kicks off on Tuesday, Jan. 22 with the annual NAMM Foundation Day of Service at an Anaheim elementary school. NAMM member volunteers are needed to unpack and tune instruments; assist sixth graders during facilitator-led music making sessions; and pack and load instruments when the sessions are complete. Transportation provided.

Black  Violin is  composed  of  classically trained  violist  and  violinist  Wil  B. and  Kev Marcus,  who  combine  their classical  training  and  hip-hop  influences to create  a  distinctive  multi-genre  sound that is  often  described  as “classical  boom.”  Black Violin has shared stages with top names including Kanye  West,  Aerosmith and Tom Petty,  and has creatively collaborated with the likes of  Wu-Tang  Clan,  Wyclef  Jean, and Alicia Keys. Black Violin ’s most recent record, Stereotypes,  debuted at  #1 on the Billboard  Classical  Crossover  Chart and at #4 on the Billboard R&B Chart. NPR  praised  the  album  and  band,  saying  “their music  will  keep classical music  alive  for the  next  generation.” 

Drum up enthusiasm for music making at NAMM’s annual All-industry Drum Circle, a can’t-miss NAMM Show rhythm celebration! Blow off some steam and get ideas for setting up fun, group-based Community Music Making experiences. Percussion instruments provided. Brought to you by NAMM in collaboration with Remo, Inc.

The 2019 She Rocks Awards will take place on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the House of Blues Anaheim at 7:30 p.m. This high-energy evening includes live music, awards and speeches, celebrity appearances, a fabulous silent auction, amazing gift bags and so much more! Tickets are now on sale, available in four tiers that include dinner and more. This event is open to the public; a NAMM Show badge is not required to attend the She Rocks Awards.
