Memphis, Tennessee retailer, and NAMM Member Amro Music celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021. The year-long festivities included the presentation of a Milestone Award as part of NAMM’s 2021 Believe in Music event in January, receiving a proclamation from the Mayor, and the unveiling of a custom vinyl-wrapped nine-foot Steinway & Sons piano.

Earlier this year, GRAMMY® Award-winning producer, Tony Brown, was awarded the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award from the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. The award recognizes his “massive contribution to American music over several decades.”

NAMM Oral History alumni and session drummer, Eddie Bayers, is now part of the Country Music Hall of Fame. In an announcement last month, the prolific musician joined the roster of notable names in the “Recording and/or Touring Musician” category.
In their Sacramento, California shop, Kauer Guitar’s crafts guitars for the likes of Flogging Molly’s Dennis Casey, Steely Dan’s Walter Becker, and Eli Maiman from Walk the Moon. The NAMM Member has now committed to building guitars through the summer of 2022 for customers who aided in the evacuation of Afghan citizens from Kabul.
