NAMM Musikmesse Russia, an international fair for musical instruments, sheet music, music production and music business connections, and Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia, an international fair of technologies and services for entertainment, integrated systems and creation will return to Moscow’s Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, September 15-18, 2016.

Last Thursday in Indianapolis, a new statewide network of arts leaders and advocates met to help insure student access to music and arts education in Indiana.

The 2017 NAMM Show is calling musical acts of all genres to showcase their talents during the annual trade show, held January 19-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Called the Bands @ NAMM program, the platform offers artists the opportunity to submit their act to play one of 150 live performances on one of five stages during the annual event.  

College and university students preparing for a career in music are encouraged to apply for NAMM’s 2016 President’s Innovation Award. The annual award is given to students who express commitment and aptitude for business leadership in the music products industry and offers a $600 travel stipend to attend The 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, January 19-22, 2017.

At the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, NAMM joined arts leaders from Americans for the Arts, the Arts Action Fund, and top policy makers and advocates to discuss the importance of arts policy and education. Aptly named ARTSSpeak, the national nonpartisan policy forum discussed the transformative power of the arts to impact 21st century learning, the economy, and healing, especially for wounded military veterans and their families.

The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) has announced Visa Assist, a new support program designed to help international members of the pro audio and music products industry attend and conduct business at the 2017 NAMM Show. The new program aims to offer helpful guidance for international attendees and to streamline the visa acquisition process.

NAMM Members are now able to view the latest global trends and music products data in The 2016 NAMM Global Report. The annual report is created by the organization for its global membership and captures a snapshot of music industry sales figures from 24 countries, including unit sales information, analysis, and import/export numbers for musical instruments and products.

The 2016 Summer NAMM show returned last week to Music City Center in Nashville, offering a robust platform for buyers, exhibitors and professionals to engage with the latest products, learn new business strategies, connect with other industry peers, and to position their businesses for a successful second half of the year.
