Fresh off a multitude of pro audio product debuts and new innovations at the recent 2018 NAMM Show, the NAMM TEC Awards council has announced a call for entries to be honored at The 2019 NAMM Show.

Russia’s only international music-trade exhibition, NAMM Musikmesse Russia, will return to Moscow’s Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, September 13 to 16, 2018. The seventh edition of the fair will offer new opportunities for every aspect of the music industry, from suppliers and users of musical instruments, to sheet music and music production. Moreover, this year the fair will offer all visitors the opportunity to purchase products directly from exhibitors.

NAMM welcomes its global retail members to be recognized for retail excellence as part of the organization’s annual Top 100 Dealer Awards. Now in its eight year and held during the Summer NAMM Show (June 25-28) in Nashville, the annual awards honor retailers who have demonstrated a commitment to best-practices, creativity and innovation in music products retail.

Winners in 31 technical and creative achievement categories were announced at the 33rd Annual NAMM TEC AWARDS presented annually by the NAMM Foundation and held Saturday, January 27 in Anaheim, CA. The annual event recognizes the individuals, companies and technical innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and multi-media. Comedian and multi-instrumentalist Demetri Martin hosted.

Yesterday at The 2018 NAMM Show, 33 NAMM member companies were honored with the NAMM Milestone Award. The award, presented by NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond, recognizes music businesses that have flourished through changing business environments to reach a noteworthy anniversary.

Earlier today at the Annual Meeting of Members at The 2018 NAMM Show, the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) welcomed eight new board members to the organization’s Board of Directors. Each board member will serve a three-year term and provide oversight, input and direction to the organization.

At the opening Breakfast of Champions session of The 2018 NAMM Show, legendary musician, songwriter, GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bob Weir was presented with the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) “Music for Life” award.

With only 22 days until the start of The 2018 NAMM Show, The NAMM Campus is set to come alive with a variety of Bands@NAMM performers, and at night, showcasing talent from the likes of groundbreaking multimedia artists, legendary performers and a multi-platinum pop singer-songwriter on The NAMM Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage.
