At The 2017 NAMM Show, legendary songwriter-musician and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Robbie Robertson (The Band, Bob Dylan) was presented with The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) “Music for Life” award for his decades of musical contributions, which have influenced musical genres, songwriting and guitarists, as well as numerous film scores, compositions and even his own autobiography, Testimony.
Earlier today, The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation and its member companies shared the sound of music with district and city officials and the students of Patrick Henry Elementary School in Anaheim, California as part of the organization’s Day of Service.
The 2017 NAMM Show is just around the corner, and with it, top musical acts are scheduled to rock The NAMM Nissan Grand Plaza stage. This year will bring a variety of artists from across the sonic spectrum, with each evening offering performances from rock legends, a pro-athlete and accomplished jazz musician, and an R&B hitmaker, all in the spirit of musical diversity that can be found at The NAMM Show.
The NAMM Foundation has announced that eight culturally significant musical inventions ranging from 1954 through 1998 will be inducted to its TECnology Hall of Fame, Saturday, January 21 at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. The ceremony will be presented by The NAMM Museum of Making Music and will be hosted by veteran pro-audio journalist George Petersen.

The annual award provides outstanding college music students exploring a career in music education, music business and/or music products a stipend to attend The 2017 NAMM Show, the annual global music products tradeshow held in Anaheim California, January 19-22, 2017.
