The NAMM Foundation is supporting the promising careers of seven hard-working students who have earned the William R. Gard Memorial Scholarship for 2015. The award is one of several contributions that NAMM makes to strengthen the future of the music-products industry by investing in college students who wish to lead NAMM member companies.
College students studying for careers in music may now apply for the President’s Innovation Award. The award offers music industry leaders-in-training the opportunity to attend the 2016 NAMM Show by providing $600 to offset travel costs.
NAMM joined national and regional partners including Americans for the Arts, Iowa Alliance for Arts Education, Iowa Arts Council, The United States Conference of Mayors, Americans for the Arts Action Fund, and Bravo Greater Des Moines to present the Iowa Arts Advocacy Caucus in Des Moines, IA during the state fair. The event with Iowa’s arts and culture leaders offered advocacy training as a prelude to Iowa’s presidential caucus process.
Badge registration and hotel bookings are now open for NAMM members planning to attend the 2016 NAMM Show. This year’s earlier opening offers NAMM members time to prepare for their trip to Anaheim, January 21-24, 2016. Attending the NAMM Show opens doors to 5,000 music product brands, a global buying audience, special events, dozens of educational sessions, and endless live music.
As market confidence builds, the music industry arrived in Nashville, July 9-11, hungry for new products and ideas.
