After several years of planning and a recently completed remodel and transformation of its physical space, NAMM’s Museum of Making Music will celebrate its grand reopening to the public on Tuesday, June 15th. The re-envisioned Carlsbad-based cultural institution will reveal a vibrant, dynamic, and immersive experience across four new galleries.

Worldwide Celebration Embodies Music’s Enduring Power to Bring Joy, Connectivity, Healing and Unity to All People

To preserve the industry’s history and provide a deep body of research spanning nearly a century, the NAMM Resource Center is honored to receive the physical archives of Musical Merchandise Review magazine. The magazine archives, which saw its first issue in 1879, were generously donated by President of Timeless Communications, Terry Lowe, and will add a wealth of information and editorial documentation to the existing collection.

NAMM has joined and is supporting the Arts ARE Education, a new, national campaign designed to support the ongoing value of music and the arts for PreK-12 students in the post-pandemic era and is calling on NAMM Members to sign a pledge of support for arts education for all children.

A convergence of 93,226 industry leaders, buyers, sellers, music educators, artists, media and music makers from 187 countries and territories gathered this past week to take part in NAMM's Believe in Music week, the online, global gathering to unify and support the people who bring music to the world.

Earlier today at Believe in Music week, the industry virtually gathered to celebrate the spirit of the independent music retailer and to applaud their accomplishments, resilience, and commitment to serving music makers at the Top100 Dealer Awards. The show segment, which aired on Believe TV, announced the “Best of” category winners, including “Dealer of the Year” and “Customers Choice” awards.

Record industry luminary, TEC Hall of Fame inductee and one-half of Pensado’s Place, the web’s most popular pro audio show, Herb Trawick, will join Believe TV as co-host for Thursday, January 21 and Friday, January 22 during Believe in Music week (January 18-22). For the two days, Trawick will share the desk, banter, stories, and interviews with NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PT.

As part of NAMM's Believe in Music week (January 18-22), the online global gathering to unite and support the people who bring music to the world, industry leaders are announcing a matching donation program to benefit twelve organizations that work to advance music learning for people of all ages and abilities.
