On Wednesday, September 14, a delegation of NAMM Members, music and arts advocates, music industry leaders, teachers, business leaders, parents, and community supporters met with Members of Congress to encourage support for quality, comprehensive school music education programs for all children.

In anticipation of the retirement of NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond and to offer the global industry association continued stability, the NAMM Executive Committee and executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates have released the position specifications for the association’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Women of NAMM (WoN) is pleased to announce that 17 emerging female leaders will participate in the WoN Summit, October 17-19, 2022, at NAMM Headquarters in Carlsbad, California. Now in its third year, the WoN Summit is an intensive, three-day leadership immersion experience designed to support women working across the industry and their goals to connect, support, and grow their leadership and professional abilities. 

After a two-year hiatus, NAMM Members and arts education advocates are invited to join their association to carry a message of support for music education to Members of Congress and/or their legislative aides. The NAMM Music Education Advocacy Hill Day will take place on Wednesday, September 14. Registration is now open through August 17.

ANAHEIM, CALIF. – JUNE 4, 2022 - Winners in 21 technical and seven creative excellence categories were announced at the 37th Annual NAMM TEC AWARDS, Saturday, June 4, from the global NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. Presented annually by NAMM, the event recognizes the exemplary achievements and innovations behind the sound of recordings, live performances, films, television, video games and multi-media.

Multi-GRAMMY® winner, composer and performer Kenny Loggins has been presented with the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) “Music for Life” award at The 2022 NAMM Show. NAMM’s highest industry honor, the award was given at the opening Breakfast of Champions session in celebration of Loggins’ lifelong commitment to inspiring music makers everywhere.

Earlier this evening at The 2022 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, the industry gathered to celebrate the spirit of the independent music retailer and to applaud their accomplishments, resilience, and commitment to serving music makers at the Top 100 Awards.
